City Chaplaincy
Our chaplains offer a listening ear to people of any faith or none. We provide a safe and compassionate space to reflect on and navigate life’s highs and lows.

We help and support people through bereavement, change, challenge, and celebration. We help employers build inclusive, positive workplace cultures and systems that care for the whole person and not just the bottom line.

We are often called on to support workers during times of bereavement (and can assist with preparations for memorial services for colleagues, for example) but also all kinds of other change and challenge. We also enjoy accompanying workers through celebrations - and helping employers develop inclusive and positive cultures in the workplace.

With highly trained Christian chaplains and links to other faith traditions, we are committed to inclusivity and understanding for everyone.

You can download our current brochure and contact our Chaplaincy Coordinator Revd David McCoulough for a conversation about bringing chaplaincy to your workplace.

What is chaplaincy?
1 / Confidential personal support
We support workers through life's challenges, providing immediate pastoral care and signposting resources - including connecting people with other sources of support such as counselling or advice services including City Advice.

Our chaplains operate out of the Christian tradition and are experienced at offering care to diverse people of faith or no faith, but we are able to connect workers with chaplains of different faiths and beliefs if that would be helpful.
2 / Faith-informed wisdom
We bring a generous and confident spiritual dimension to life and work, and welcome conversations which help people connect their work and career to their deepest values.

We enable corporates and employers to connect with faith-informed traditions of wisdom and reflection, which can help employers promote inclusive and diverse workplaces while also provide an alternative perspective on common issues such as change management and team culture.
3 / Navigating a modern global City
A diverse and global City is a religious place! We play our part as chaplains - and through the Guild Church of which we are part - in helping facilitate religious understanding across the business, civic, and political City of London. We support efforts to improve and increase religious literacy and understanding, and help religious institutions engage with workplace issues, opportunities, and challenges.
