Living Wage Week

At the start of Living Wage Week in the autumn we hold a service of prayer and worship in partnership with London Citizens. We give thanks for all that has been achieved in securing fair pay for workers, and pray as we take action to help workers win a Living Wage in their own workplaces.

This year the service will be on Saturday 4th November at 5pm at St Katharine Cree.

In 2022, our service was led by the Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Dame Sarah Mullally, and drew together Christians and people of goodwill from across London to pray and act together for a Living Wage. We heard testimony from care workers, heard the Scriptures read, shared in sung worship, listened to reflections on why and how God cares about just wages, and we celebrated together with joy and thanksgiving.

You can read two of the reflections shared by Doris and Nkem on the CTC blog.

Our Assistant Priest, Fr Angus Ritchie, prepared a study guide for Living Wage week full of helpful biblical reflections. You can download it here.

Please join us next year in Living Wage Week 2023!
