For choirs, orchestras, and theatre groups alike, rehearsal is where ideas take shape and performances are refined. Our historic church provides a generous and characterful space where groups can focus, experiment, and grow.
With its natural acoustics and calm atmosphere, St Katharine Cree is particularly well suited to musical rehearsals, while also offering the flexibility needed for staging, movement, and group work. For groups rehearsing regularly, St Katharine Cree offers not just a venue but a dependable base — a place where your work can develop over time, with storage available and a consistent, welcoming environment.

Space for groups of Up to 250
Our rehearsal package accommodates up to 150 people seated and 250 standing, making it ideal for larger ensembles as well as smaller groups needing room to spread out.
Benches and chairs can be moved to suit your rehearsal setup, giving you the freedom to arrange the space as needed — we simply ask that everything is returned to its original position at the end of your session.
Everything you need included
We aim to provide everything you need for a smooth and productive rehearsal:

Hire of the church for up to 3 hours

Simple A/V, including TV screen, microphones, speakers, and lighting

Use of our grand piano and organ on request

Two shelves of storage space in our office for regular users

Ease of access, with a member of your group being the designated keyholder

Discounted rates on hiring St Katharine Cree for a concert or performance should you wish to showcase your art and hard work in situ
Pricing
Whether you're looking for regular or one-off rehearsals, we can accommodate you. Regular rehearsals in the Church cost £150 a session, with a small additional charge for one-off rehearsals to cover administration and support.
If you would like to hire a more intimate space, the Hall is available for £120 per session. If you would like exclusive access to the whole site - perhaps if you have multiple groups rehearsing at the same time - this will be £200 per session for the Church, Hall, and Courtyard Garden.
