Whether you’re planning a drinks reception, exhibition, fundraiser, or awards ceremony, St Katharine Cree offers a space that combines heritage, character, and flexibility. Our 17th-century church, with its grand interior and peaceful yet impressive atmosphere, creates a backdrop unlike any modern venue.

From the moment your guests step inside, they’ll experience a setting that feels both significant and welcoming — ideal for bringing people together, celebrating achievements, or showcasing your work.

Flexible Receptions for up to 250 guests

Our reception package is designed to accommodate a wide range of events, with capacity for up to 250 guests standing or 150 seated. The space is thoughtfully arranged to support both formal presentations and relaxed networking:

  • Theatre-style seating in the central aisle

  • One aisle left clear with poser tables for mingling

  • Additional seating in the second aisle

This flexible layout ensures your event flows naturally, whether you're hosting speeches, performances, or informal conversations.

Everything you need included

We aim to make hosting your event as straightforward as possible. Your hire includes:

  • Exclusive use of the church for an evening (weekday or weekend, 5–10pm)

  • Professional A/V setup, including screen, microphones, speakers, and lighting

  • An experienced event host to support your event (two hosts for larger gatherings over 150 guests)

You’re also welcome to bring in your own caterers, giving you complete freedom to tailor the food and drink to your audience and style.

Pricing

Reception package: £1,400

This includes full evening hire of the church and all core services listed above.

 

If you would like to expand your hire to include the Hall and Courtyard Garden - perfect for an additional prep space for caterers, or for a summer drinks event - there is an additional charge of £400.
